MP3 Player and Censorship. posted Jan 22nd 2010, 11:12PM

And I don't want an iPod. I hate iTunes. I'm currently using my dad's old iTouch because he got an iPhone. Before that, I had a Sansa, but it broke as a result of being in a bag that had an accident. I will probably get another Sansa, but I really want an mp3 with a touch screen. Mainly because scrolling to find a song you want takes a long time on a Sansa.
What kind of mp3 player do you have? Do you like it? Do you have to use some kind of rubbish software similar to iTunes to get anything onto the damned thing? Just thinking of iTunes makes my blood boil

How do you feel about it? Specifically about the potential of censorship on things like loli and shota. I'm of the opinion that those things are harmless fantasising, and that they do not in any way contribute to the abuse of children. It's ridiculous to think that you could never touch a child, look at a naked photo of a child, even think of harming a child... and yet, you could be arrested for child abuse. You know, Snupin Burrito could be considered child pornography...
The other part of that (which is not related) is the idea of children being shielded ferociously from non-sexual nudity. I think that's pretty damned silly and even damaging to a child. If a child begins to see nudity as something obscene, wouldn't that give them a negative image of their own body? But then, maybe a parent won't allow a child to go to a museum where there are nude paintings, sculptures, or photography. There is nothing obscene about breasts or vulvas or penises. They're just body parts, and they don't have to be associated only with sex. Censoring non-sexual nudity -forces- it to be associated with sex.
